Get Involved
There is a place for you in the work of the Sudreau Global Justice Institute. Whether
you are a student, attorney, or supporter, your involvement plays a role in strengthening
justice systems and advancing access to justice around the world.
Law Students
Engage your legal education beyond the classroom through courses, global internships, and immersive Prison Projects with the Sudreau Global Justice Institute. Whether for a week or a summer, students work alongside judges, prosecutors, and attorneys in real-time justice initiatives that sharpen advocacy skills, deepen professional formation, and expand global perspective. No matter your intended career path, these experiences will shape you as both a lawyer and a leader.

Non-Law Students
For students interested in human rights, SGJI offers opportunities to engage with global issues through study-abroad experiences in East Africa and conversations with international and domestic leaders in the field.

Attorneys and Judges
Bring your expertise to the global stage. Attorneys and judges serve alongside national judiciaries, prosecutors, and defense counsel to strengthen plea bargaining and alternative dispute resolution practices within partner countries. Even if your career has not involved criminal representation, your experience can directly contribute to sustainable justice reform while offering a rare opportunity for meaningful professional engagement abroad.

Justice Supporters
Not every call to justice looks the same. Many who are moved by this work—through faith, a desire to serve, or a commitment to stronger systems—play an important role in advancing the mission of the SGJI. Justice supporters contribute in a variety of ways. Some serve alongside our teams on Prison Projects in administrative or operational roles. Others support the work through partnership, share it within their communities, or simply serve as champions of the work.
